Soon it will be April and this blog will for a while spring back to life. Why?
It’s the A to Z blogging challenge, where I get to post every day (barring four Sundays) and try to keep you entertained. My chosen theme for this year, as with my previous years, is historical and focused on places and things, rather than people.
The History of British Museums and Galleries.
Why do we collect things and put them on display, whether objects or art? What motivates people, and why do we visit? Is it the lure of history or entertainment? When did museums become widespread and publicly available? And where are the most interesting ones? Is it the building that houses the collection or the objects themselves that draws the visitor inside? And why are they always in glass cabinets, what makes a good exhibit?
Some of the questions I’ll try to answer as I bring you my A to Z.
Very interesting theme, and as museums are closed, it will be a beautiful window to see art!

I’ll be picking a few pictures, and hopefully some unusual ones too.

This is a lovely idea. We’ve missed museum visits for the last year and can’t wait to get back. Look forward to your posts 🙂

I miss museums too, although I thought of this theme while I was doing last year’s challenge, it seems appropriate to keep it.
