Wasn’t sure where to go with this one. Needed a little light relief in my life at the moment – so here’s my take on this week’s Friday Fictioneers prompt, which is hosted by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields.
The TV boomed – winter is coming.
She groaned. “If I had a quid for every time I’d heard that.”
He switched the TV off. It had been his idea to watch the boxset. Episode after episode. “I suppose we should get out.”
She stretched. How many days had passed? She patted her stomach – too many pizzas.
He opened the front door and pile of snow landed on his feet.
She chuckled. “So, it has come.”
He stared in disbelief at the bleak sky. “It’s September, for heaven’s sake.”
“It was, honey.” She patted his arm. “Now it’s October.”
